Profusion IMS Operator FAQ's
Profusion IMS Operator FAQ's
Quick Log/Next Action Presets (QL)
Function Overview:
- Allow the operator to set Next Action Area values (Action, Due Date and Assign To)
once and have them used as a default for every
edit in an editing session.
- Once set (selected and Update QL button pressed), these values will be
placed in every the Next Action Area of every
edited record as the default.
- When the Update Record button is pressed, the values in the
Next Action Area
area will be placed in the client's record.
How to Use:
- Set any one or all of the fields to the desired value.
- Press the Update QL button. (Note: do this before you update any
other field otherwise you will lose the changes you make in other fields).
- These fields are now set for the entire edit session and will be used in
the Next Action Area each time you edit a new record.
- Overwriting the Next Action Area fields for Action, Due Date and/or
Assign To will be stored in the record upon Update, but will not
change the QL values. The only way to change the QL values is to
change them in the QL area and press Update QL
The Quick Log/Next Action Presets (QL) allow you to set the Next Action
(Action, Due Date and Assign To) when you are doing repetitive edits. As
an example, if you were working new registration Welcome Calls, you can set the
QL presets to the a likely outcome to prevent repetitive selection -
- QL Next Action = "Initial Call" (the action to be taken if you
don't make contact)
- QL Due Date = "6/30/05" (the date for the Next Action, usually the
following day)
- QL Assign To = "Jane Doe" (the person who should perform the
Initial Call on 6/30/05)
Next Action Area
As the name implies, the Next Action represents the next action to be taken,
when and by whom. The Next Action Area is the area where these values are
set. There are several ways to set these values:
- Set the Quick Log Presets (QL)
and they will be used as the default settings for an editing session.
- Simply type the value into the input box.
- Use the drop down menus.
Next Action Area Values Conflict Resolution - Because there are several ways to
input values in these fields and the objective is to provide update speed to
you, the following rules apply:
- Quick Log Presets (QL)
settings are used for defaults and can be overwritten by either of the
following steps.
- Typing a new value in the Next Action Area values (Action, Due Date,
Assign To) will be used upon pressing Update Record.
- If a selection is made in a Next Action Area pull down menu, that value
will be used upon pressing Update Record and takes precedent over 1 and 2
above.
Next Action Area - Bad Phone #/s (QLM)
This is a Next Action Area Quick Log Macro (QLM).
It performs a number of steps with a single button press:
- Logs the fact that the phone number/s are bad in the Notes field
along with the date, time and your name.
- UpdatesNext Action, Due Date and Assign
To.
- Prompts you for e-mail that is set with the Marketing Department's
recommendation, starting point, for a bad number follow-up e-mail.
The purpose for this QLM is to allow you to get more done in less time. Let us know how it's working for you and any suggestions... always appreciated.
